Very Safe

Advalight is one of the only solid state lasers in aesthetics that is effective for medical, dermal, and vascular related conditions. Its reparative yellow energy is targeted specifically for inflammation, which is the backbone of most diseases. You leave out of the treatment looking and feeling better than you came in.  Contrary to lots of aesthetic devices, it doesn’t indiscriminately shoot several beams and alter healthy tissue.  There is minimal if any discomfort. With our deep understanding of the device, anatomy and physiology, skin types, and skin layers, there is no burn effect with a magnitude of uses. We have witnessed the undeniable safety of this laser time and again. 

Effectiveness 

Full face skin rejuvenation was our primary purpose for obtaining this device. As a bonus, we’ve uncovered particular success with the eyelid areas. Eyelids are traditionally either neglected altogether, or put through harsh treatments that calls for several days of recovery. A huge gap in care has been identified. Our eyelids take a beating and there have been limited treatment options. I genuinely believe our eye area skin ages us the most. People are stuck with under diagnosed and often untreated conditions such as ocular rosacea, psoriasis, dry eye syndromes, and demodex mites which all respond well to this treatment. After every eyelid treatment performed, meibomian glands are visibly smoother because it clears out hardened oils. Years of lid crease inflammation disappears.  Fat pads shrink. Unlike other devices that tend to cause apoptosis, advalight only shrinks the fat cells. It does not kill them. We need fat pads in our face for insulation and smoothness. But the aging appearance comes from swelling of those pads and stretching out of our tissue. And that’s where the red light pass comes in. Areas that need collagenated start to fill in and as the capillaries shrink, skin is more visible above them. Side effect: brighter skin and fewer inflammatory markers. The yellow light matches that collagen with elastin to make the perfect duo. Collagen without elastin can actually make the skin appear rough. We need both. The red light pass also decreases germ loads as it neutralizes years of microbial activity. 

Consultation

I’ve recently posted  preparation expectations for the procedure along with appropriate screening of candidates. In addition to a limited few contraindications previously presented, I’d like to add that we don’t recommend the eyelid procedure with seizure disorder. Although the eyes are completely shielded, we feel that the peripheral light flashes can pose a risk for exacerbation.
